Covid-19. the african response.
While the world sat down to scratch their heads and try to work out the math to this puzzler, Africa, well, did the same, more or less.
While the virus ravaged Europe, America and Asia, many were waiting with bated breath to see its effect on Africa. Many had honestly thought that it was going to be a merciless killer of the Africans. There were legitimate reasons for such speculation given the type of health care infrastructure in many nations across the continent. Experts weren't spared this dread and it was mostly those with vital statistics of African healthcare systems who were worried. Conspiracy theorists had a field day, that this virus indeed was designed to reduce the world's populations by drastic amounts. However, what transpired at least for now, is not what the projections had. According to the CDC, only one in 500 Africans succumbed to this virus, compared to one in 20 in the USA.
